Rest Area menghadirkan kisah balas dendam yang lahir dari dosa pembangunan. Bukan sekadar horor penuh jumpscare, film ini membangun atmosfer mencekam dengan simbol tentang kerakusan, ketidakadilan, dan dosa yang tak pernah benar-benar hilang. Dalam Film ini Hantu Kresek hadir sebagai ikon baru horor Indonesia. Wajahnya yang terbungkus plastik hitam menjadi simbol kematian yang dipaksa dilupakan, tapi tak pernah bisa benar-benar terkubur. Ia adalah perwujudan dendam—bukan hanya pada para karakter, tapi juga pada manusia yang mencoba menghapus kesalahan dengan kekuasaan dan harta. Sutradara Rest Area Aditya Testarossa menyebutkan bahwa Rest Area bukan sekadar horor tentang hantu, tapi juga horor tentang manusia. Tentang apa yang mereka sembunyikan, dan bagaimana dosa itu selalu menagih balas. Aditya Testarossa ingin penonton merasakan ketakutan yang datang bukan hanya dari luar, tapi juga dari dalam diri mereka sendiri.
Rest Area bercerita tentang Lima orang crazy rich terjebak di sebuah rest area terpencil dalam perjalanan malam mereka. Tempat yang seharusnya jadi singgahan, berubah jadi mimpi buruk ketika sosok hantu yang kepalanya terbungkus kantong plastic kresek dan dilakban muncul menuntut balas atas dosa masa lalu. Film ini di bintangi oleh Lutesha, Ajil Ditto, Chicco Kurniawan, Julian Jacob, Lania Fira, Haydar Salishz, dan Afrian Arisandy .
